We seek to serve those who seek to serve.

Among SQGLZ clients are a chef on a mission to reconnect cuisine to history and culture, a carpenter's workshop protecting over 400 acres of temperate rainforest from degradation, and an institution of permaculture education and certification. We work with NGOs that build gardens and redirect food waste, parenting coaches, and horse trainers — all who believe in and work toward the more beautiful world our hearts know is possible. We believe that it is natural for people to derive their income through acting in service in such a way that makes the world a little friendlier, and not for one person at the expense of others.

We diagnose before we treat.

Worthy problems need to be understood before they are solved. SQGLZ is uniquely positioned to find opportunities and insights in collaboration with social and environmental change-makers. Our process begins with testing assumptions, asking hard questions, and looking for suitable solutions.

We scale to fit your needs.

Every organization comes with unique strengths and limitations. SQGLZ doesn't work with Fortune 500 companies and finds that more human-scale firms come in wider varieties. We meet your company where it is today. We work with you to figure out what a real win would look like and how we can measure progress along the way. Then, and only then, do we begin the work of determining which specialists are suited to achieve your desired results.

We build engagement, not compulsion, for long term customer relationships.

We want to understand the bedrock of the problem you solve and why others should care. We craft content in keeping with the strength of your problem/solution relationship. Our design process differs from that of many marketing firms in that we won't help a firm to convince a market to care about a made-up problem. If the lives of our client's customers and clients aren't being improved, then we aren't satisfied with our work.

SQGLZ Designs Solutions

Ultimately, we want to understand your communications and expression goals in the context of your business and its mission in the world so that we can create a plan and set of assets to get you where you'd like to be.

But, isn't design about pretty pictures? Less so, but yeah, we do that too.
